WebJun 5, 2011 · D3VE heads were used on 460 engines from 1973-1985. It would get pretty involved to confirm that your engine is a 1975 model, but suffice it to say that all 1973-1978 460 engines are essentially the same long blocks through those years and that if your engine utililzes a D1VE block then it is likely a 1973-1978 engine.

They make Plugs for the Holes in the heads, ask your maching shop to get you some. Do the same on the intake, Blend the Bowls and match the intake gaskest.
